Welcome to my webpage! I was educated at Ardenne High School in Jamaica but mostly I am someone who loves to read. I am a lover of literature, poetry, music and art in general and, in particular, Caribbean poetry and literature and World literature. There is nothing quite as enjoyable as a well crafted story. I know, having spent much of my time buried within the pages of  books. I enjoy the company of my favorite authors best. I have laughed with them and cried with them. I know the characters well. That said, I am both reader and critic. Caribbean literature is mostly an exploration of identity and as such very personal and important to Carribbean people. For those of you who are interested in learning more about Caribbean culture - here are my recommendations. I have also included some popular fiction and other works that are important.  Read and live passionately. Seek truth and beauty. This site has been active since 2001 and has had well over 6000 visitors. The box below on Creative Nonfiction: "Write a Memoir to Remember"  has been on this site since 2002. A memoir is a family history that can be done quite easily nowadays. Simply construct  a list of questions you wish to ask dada, grandpapa or pappy. Then, use a video camera or camcorder to make your recording and you are good to go. Enjoy! ---B
